Before the End, Before the Beginning

Cheated death for 200 years,

I had built this time machine

Even then it was a mean hassle

A prison to cage the free

But couldn’t let go, I’m not one to die

Bring on a war

I’m would fight to survive

So I thought about for a bit

And hid when death called

Running away

Off a cliff

Hoping to cushion my fall

And it was there that I saw two massive Golden doors

Wide open,

Still too far.

Running and running till I’m out of breath

I had found a way to cheat this death

I pulled through, pulled through at last

And there I was

An inch away

Forever had I dreamed this day

Stepped inside

Stepped away

Some feeling strange had settled in

I called, I screeched

For the man in the cloak

To pull me away

From the city of life

Time for a shift

Though I had some really nice times

Looked around one last time

My face bright with a studded smile

As it was then that I knew

I had been what a fool

Who truly ever dies?

If they have memories have been left behind

The golden doors weren’t an immortal realm

They were the path to remind me of this, once again.

The Devil in Each One of Us

I’m wildfire

The blood in your veins

I’m the war

That’s how I’ve been trained

The world is unjust

It is there that my presence flares Blocks the sunlight

Blanking stares

It’s me The havoc

It’s me

The truth

Of the part of the world

Where crisis rules

I am you

A cause of crime
And while you’ve been known to also do good

That isn’t really my prime

I’m a soul

That settles everywhere

I am the war

The blank stare.

The Blue Pill

The truth is based on lies

Every word, disguised,

As we sail on the ocean of life

How things change

A twisted knot of complications

But we say all is fine

Is it though?

Think right

The lies we tell our selves

I’m happy, satisfied

When we actually burn with envy

That keeps us up all night

But think about those

Those who don’t even have food

And then we tell ourselves

Let’s make these lies the truth.

Remember:
Be grateful for life. Be a little wise…

The name of my poem has been inspired by the Matrix

Rivergale

-Sanjana Bhasin

She sits by the river

Singing her song

She sings about the truth, the right and the wrong

Her love is immense and heard in her voice

Which never fails to make us rejoice

She leaves in the winter and comes in the spring

While we all await for her to sing

She awakes and dawn

Singing her song

She sings about life and where we belong

She is the gale with the spirit of life

Never failing to make us smile

Oh, pretty bird sing along

Sing about the truth, the right and the wrong

Shining Bright in a Dark World

There are people who are trying to make a change

Take their lead and shine

Be yourself, be content

Don’t question time for how it went

Follow the road wisdom and you will be ever-full, ever-free

Forget about what has already happened

You cannot change that, can you?

Instead focus on what is yet to be done

Focus on all that you are yet to become

My Mom:

My mom is hardworking and unique

There is so much she wants to seek

And so much that she has already achieved

Non-stop she works tirelessly

Balancing her work along with my sister and me

How she does it I wonder….

Thank you, mom, for all that you have done

It is amazing, how much you have accomplished and won.

Love you, proud of you, keep working hard my ever so marvelous mum.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!! 🙂

The Dreaded Task

Open up it said to me

Lets’ get down to business, you and me

Never! Was my blunt reply

Quickly I said goodbye

But before I could leave the room

Mother came in bringing along doom

She told me in an violent tone, “ You better turn back and do the task

Other-wise you don’t know for what you ask”

So reluctantly I walked back

For I did not want a hot whack

I opened my H.W book and sat defeated

And there for three hours I was seated.

They build are creativity

And grip us so very dearly

My School, My Sunshine

– The Cathedral and John Connon School

My school helps me reach for the skies

It empowers me to always aim high

It encourages to help people in need

It teaches me to not sit back but to lead

My school is like sunshine, it makes me grow

With a happy mind that makes ideas flow

My school is my second family

It improves my personality

My schoolmates make me laugh and smile

All worries we forget for a while

My teachers are friendly and kind

They always help, but ensure that we use our mind

Songs to plays, school is fun everyday

Class debates and discussions

Wow! what exciting and animated sessions

I am proud to be a Cathedralite

Cathedral teaches us wrong from right

It teaches us how to build, care, and never lose sight

We raise our heads high and cheer

As our school has completed its 160th year

Time

As the day grow colder

And as we get older

It’s only memories we have left now

The rustling of the autumn leaves

The buzzing of the busy bees

The caring of the old and frail

And as we get there we tell the tale

There’s so much to miss in the years gone by

But for now I would advise to just let out a smile :-]
